Douglas Keane is one of America’s most accomplished chefs, and his Cyrus restaurant in Healdsburg was a culinary landmark in California wine country for close to a decade. Set amidst the rolling hills of Durell Vineyard, a source for some of Gary Farrell’s finest Chardonnay, "Cyrus in the Vineyard" will feature a one-of-a-kind menu that draws heavily on locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients. Each course will represent a new creation for Keane and will be developed specifically to pair with an accompanying Gary Farrell wine. The evening will begin with maitre d’ Nick Peyton and his team welcoming guests with a glass of Champagne. Live background music and the bucolic vineyard scenery will set the stage as guests take their seats at wooden farm tables dressed with fine china and lacey details. As the sun sets over the Sonoma mountains, guests can watch chef Keane begin to prepare the five-course meal – a symphony of local ingredients in the hands of a master chef. A selection of very limited-production single vineyard wines from Gary Farrell Winery, including the Durell, Rochioli-Allen, Rochioli and Gap’s Crown vineyards, will be paired with each course.
