Team
Great wine experiences don’t come from a formula. They come from people who care.
At Gary Farrell Winery, our team is made up of individuals who arrived here by different routes—but stayed for the same reason. Curiosity. Commitment. Delight in the craft.

Michelle Wing
A Sonoma County local, Michelle has spent more than 20 years in the wine industry, combining her passion for storytelling, hospitality, and creating meaningful experiences in her role as Director of Marketing. She holds an Executive MBA with a concentration in Wine Business from Sonoma State University and loves helping people discover not only the wines of the Russian River Valley, but the moments and memories that come with them.
Guided by curiosity and a spirit of exploration, Michelle believes wine should feel approachable, enjoyable, and deeply connected to the people sharing it. Winemaking Team
Brent McKoy
As Head Winemaker at Gary Farrell Winery, Brent McKoy believes great wines come from paying attention to the vineyard, the vintage, and the moment the fruit has the most to say. After more than 20 years at Gary Farrell, Brent knows the winery’s iconic vineyard sites like old friends, crafting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that reflect the character and individuality of each place.
Originally from the North Carolina coast, Brent’s path to winemaking included studying English literature, playing percussion in jazz bands, and working as an arborist before discovering his passion for wine. Since joining Gary Farrell in 2005 and working alongside founder Gary Farrell, Brent has embraced a hands-on approach rooted in curiosity, balance, and staying fully present throughout the winemaking process.
Meaghan Hodge
Growing up in California’s Sierra Foothills, Meaghan developed an early love for working with her hands, exploring the outdoors, and asking questions about how things work. Inspired by her grandparents’ work in the wine industry, she learned from a young age that wine is about far more than what’s in the glass — it’s about bringing people together to share stories, experiences, and a sense of place.
After studying Wine and Viticulture at California Polytechnic State University, Meaghan discovered a passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and eventually joined the team at Gary Farrell Winery as Assistant Winemaker. Thoughtful, curious, and deeply hands-on, she is passionate about crafting wines that honestly reflect the vineyards and vintages they come from.
Peter Treleaven
As Cellar Master at Gary Farrell Winery, Peter brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every stage of the winemaking process. A graduate of University of California, Davis with a degree in Philosophy, Peter combines precision, patience, and quiet focus in his work throughout the cellar.
Known for his calm presence and steady dedication to the craft, Peter plays an essential role in helping guide each vintage from harvest to bottle with care and consistency.
