TASTING NOTES

Usually a robust expression of Chardonnay, the 2022 Westside Farms reveals its charm more subtly, with aromatic wisps of peach and apple intertwined with chamomile and baking spice. The rounded mouthfeel and nice weight of the palate are more typical of this vineyard, carrying lush Honeycrisp apple, apricot fruit and a little lemon curd flowing into the bright freshness of the acidity on the finish, and the easy-to-sip-on character we always love about this wine.

VINEYARD NOTES

Planted in 1989, just four miles up Westside Road from our winery, the 40-acre Westside Farms vineyard sits along the banks of the winding Russian River where the deep, river-deposited sandy loam soils, and the cool evenings prolong the ripening process, yielding consistently elegant, intense fruit.
