We’re delighted to share our Spring Winemaker Release. This release features some of our favorite vineyards from across Sonoma County, and we’re excited to introduce you to Thorn Ridge Vineyard – out in the Sebastopol Hills under a thick layer of fog, this vineyard produces an earthy, focused Pinot Noir we can’t wait to share with you.
These wines are perfect for every moment that Spring evokes: family celebrations, picnics, quiet evenings on the patio, and everything in between. However you choose to open these wines, we thank you for making Gary Farrell a part of your life.

Savory intrigue defines this Pinot Noir, reflecting the rugged coastal character of this site perched high above the Pacific. Aromas of tart red fruits - pomegranate, cherry, and cranberry - are layered with white pepper and distinctive umami notes reminiscent of savory radish cake straight from the Dim Sum cart. On the palate, vibrant acidity and firm structure carry the bright fruit and spice through a focused, persistent finish, capturing the wild, coastal energy that makes Fort Ross so compelling.

Making its inaugural release, our Thorn Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir offers an expressive introduction to a site defined by savory nuance and aromatic lift. The nose is highly perfumed, layering boysenberry and cranberry with damp earth, savory jam, and fresh thyme and sage - evoking a just-tended garden. On the palate, black cherry and tart red fruit are framed by cedar and earthy undertones, with softer acidity lending a supple, approachable texture. Savory, grounded, and ready to enjoy.

Understated at first, the 2022 Rochioli-Allen Vineyards Pinot Noir reveals its character gradually with each swirl. Aromas of dried dill, oregano, and thyme intertwine with sunbaked earth, red currant and sandalwood, creating a layered and intriguing introduction. The palate follows with tart red cherry juice, rhubarb, and a hint of black licorice, all carried by medium, bright acidity and framed by soft yet structured tannins. Balanced and quietly powerful, this is a wine with the bones to age, revealing more nuance and depth with time.
