Healdsburg Restaurants

Healdsburg Restaurants that showcase Sonoma County

Healdsburg Restaurants

Healdsburg – known for many things – now has a restaurant scene to rival town’s many times its size and the crew here at Gary Farrell are delighted to have such a selection in our back-yard. Healdsburg exemplifies the farm-to-fork philosophy that is all the rage right now and has been doing so for years. We took some time to pen about the Michelin Starred restaurants in Sonoma here <insert link here> so for now here’s a selection of our favorite Healdsburg restaurants that we know you’ll enjoy

Barndiva

231 Center St., Healdsburg, CA 95448

(707) 431-0100

http://www.barndiva.com/

All things local are celebrated at Barndiva where since 2004 Chef Ryan Fancher’s menu celebrates Sonoma County. Barndiva is a unique destination in Healdsburg offering incredible cuisine, great wine, fantastic cocktails, inspiring art, and quite possibly the best event space in downtown Healdsburg.

“Light flooded and tranquil by day, Barndiva roars to life at night when locals and in the know visitors descend on the big red barn for late-night meals, creative cocktails, and the hippest scene in town.” said Travel & Leisure magazine, and we agree as the hip crew from Gary Farrell can often be found here!

The current dinner menu features everything from Yellowtail Hamachi Crudo or Crisp Pork Belly to start through a Crispy Free Range Roast Chicken with Hobbs Bacon, Roasted Mushrooms Ragout, Egg Yolk Ravioli or Herb Basted Local Petrale Sole with Lobster Risotto, Pickled Fennel, Crème Fraîche Nage. Is your mouth watering yet?

Valette

344 Center Street, Healdsburg, CA 95448

(707) 473-0946

http://www.valettehealdsburg.com/

Valette Healdsburg, as it’s known, was opened in 2015 by two brothers, Dustin Valette and Aaron Garzini. Dustin and Aaron had always dreamt about showcasing all that Sonoma County had to offer. Aaron established himself as a dynamic server while Dustin learned the culinary craft in New York and is former Executive Chef at Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen, Aqua and Bouchon

Between them they have 48 years of experience and they serve their honest food alongside a selection of boutique local wines in an environment where service is everything.

“The range of dishes here is mind-blowing, so I suggest making reservations for a tasting menu, which include five amazing courses.” Said Teresa Rodriguez from Tango Diva recently and she isn’t kidding!

Dry Creek Kitchen

317 Healdsburg Ave., Healdsburg, CA 95448

(707) 431-0330

http://www.drycreekkitchen.com/

Chef Charlie Palmer’s northern Sonoma County outpost, Dry Creek Kitchen, has been wowing diners for over a decade. Under the watch of Executive Chef Scott Romano, the culinary team at Dry Creek Kitchen regularly produce dishes that let their locally sourced produce shine.

The dinner menu currently features such culinary treats as Pheasant and Prosciutto Raviolis with organic Brussels Purée, Petite Beets, Parmesan or why not try Caramelized Diver Scallops with Petite Spinach, Fennel, Curry Reduction, Brown Butter Vinaigrette!

The pairing of food and wine is taken seriously here at Dry Creek Kitchen and their wine philosophy allows Wine Director Rolando Maldonado to put together a wine list to make any mouth water!

Single Thread Farms Restaurant

131 North St., Healdsburg, CA 95448

(707) 723-4646

https://www.singlethreadfarms.com/

Quite possibly the most anticipated Healdsburg restaurant opening in years happened in late 2016 with the opening of Single Thread Farms. Chef-owner Kyle Connaughton and his wife Katina have created a true culinary experience and the restaurant is garnering attention from both locals and visitors alike.

The restaurant offers an 11-course tasting menu that can be customized to guests’ dietary preferences and restrictions and reservations must be made ahead of time by purchasing tickets in advance. Wine pairings for the 11-course tasting menu are also offered.

In addition to the restaurant Single Thread has an inn offering a small number of rooms that are exquisitely appointed and they source much of their produce from their farm that’s just a couple of miles from Healdsburg.
