2001 Merlot - Sonoma County / Sonoma County Selection

This wine is an example of how selective grape sourcing and quality small lot production techniques can create intensely flavored and wonderfully structured Merlot. We have selected three of Sonoma County's finest Merlot vineyards to produce this wine, and blended a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon to enhance structure and complexity.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
These grapes were hand-harvested during the early morning hours in September, with an average sugar content of 24.0 degrees brix, .65 gm/100 ml total titratable acidity and 3.45 pH.
