WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Our first release from this property (1999 vintage) was chosen as one of the top Pinot Noirs of 2002, and given a rating of 93. Connoisseurs Guide also rated this wine 92 of 100 points. This wine, our third designated Pinot Noir from this property, makes a clear and definitive statement about the quality obtainable from this vineyard. Separate wines were produced from each clonal block, providing us great flexibility in crafting our final blend. Clonal blending is often preferred with Pinot Noir, as it often provides additional complexity to the finished wine.
